About AI Search Explained

AI Search Explained is an educational website published by Dean Jessop to define modern search terminology clearly and establish the original REG framework in public.

About Dean Jessop

Dean Jessop is the founder and CEO of IRefer Club and the creator of the Recognition Engine Guidance and Retrieval Engine Guidance framework.

His work focuses on a practical problem: good businesses can be difficult to find when customers ask Google, Maps, AI tools or their phones for only a few recommendations. He developed REG to separate two requirements that are often treated as one—recognizing the correct business and retrieving the correct facts about it.

Dean is also the author of The Great Morph, a book about the shift from traditional search results toward generated answers and fewer visible choices.
